Founder and Creative Director

Lonnie Zarum is deeply committed to family, community, continuous learning, and supporting creative and socially responsible endeavors.

Originally from London, she immigrated to the United States in 1993, where she successfully raised her four children, primarily as a single mother in New Orleans. Lonnie's passion for the arts began with creative movement, earning her an academic degree from Middlesex University, followed by postgraduate studies at the London Contemporary School of Dance.

Throughout her diverse career, Lonnie has excelled in various artistic fields, including film, live events, education, dance, and fashion. Her dedication to community service is evidenced by her extensive volunteer work on more than ten boards, focusing on community engagement, education, local and national events, and religious institutions.

Lil Oak Productions, founded by Lonnie in 2007, emerged from her vision to repurpose surplus props, sets, and wardrobe from film productions, giving them new life in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, in New Orleans (2005). Over the past decade, Lil Oak Productions has collaborated with global entities across film, theatre, merchandise design, and sourcing. The company is dedicated to supporting creative and innovative projects that challenge artistic norms while adhering to principles of social, environmental, and fiscal responsibility.

With a global footprint that includes partnerships in the US, Mexico, China, Canada and the UK , Lil Oak Productions brings a wealth of experience in assisting creative enterprises to achieve their commercial objectives. We stay current with new trends, with worldwide travel and also attending up to date courses on Intellectual Property and Law, for cultural institutions, at Harvard and Cornell.
